About the role

  • Report to the Critical Facilities Manager as part of the Operations team to support day-to-day maintenance of hyperscale multi-building data center campus
  • Perform routine inspections and rounds inspecting mechanical, electrical, and fire/life safety systems (MEP/FLS) throughout the building and equipment yards
  • Monitor Building Management System (BMS) and Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) dashboards for alarms and anomalies and perform BMS operations and data analysis
  • Execute preventative and corrective maintenance on critical infrastructure: UPS, FCUs, CRAH/CRACs, chillers, generators, and electrical switchgear
  • Respond rapidly to alarms or incidents involving power, cooling, and networking equipment in 24/7 mission-critical environments
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for equipment activity, site management, and issue resolution based on priorities
  • Work cross-functionally with operations, engineering, network, security, and project teams and escort vendors/contractors ensuring badge compliance
  • Participate in technical training, certifications, shift handovers, team meetings, and post-mortem reviews and comply with departmental policies

Requirements

  • 2+ years’ experience in an industry that includes operations & maintenance
  • Familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Method of Procedures (MOPs), and their application to work orders
  • Experience working in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, controls, and fire and life safety systems
  • Proficient with computer systems including documents, spreadsheets, and email
  • 5+ years’ experience in a critical operations environment, preferably in the data center industry (preferred)
  • Experience scheduling and planning maintenance for large-scale, complex systems in an operations environment (preferred)
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including moving heavy equipment (up to 50 pounds), crawling in tight spaces, working at heights, and extended walking
  • Compliance with EHS policies and procedures
