Report to the Critical Facilities Manager as part of the Operations team to support day-to-day maintenance of hyperscale multi-building data center campus
Perform routine inspections and rounds inspecting mechanical, electrical, and fire/life safety systems (MEP/FLS) throughout the building and equipment yards
Monitor Building Management System (BMS) and Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) dashboards for alarms and anomalies and perform BMS operations and data analysis
Execute preventative and corrective maintenance on critical infrastructure: UPS, FCUs, CRAH/CRACs, chillers, generators, and electrical switchgear
Respond rapidly to alarms or incidents involving power, cooling, and networking equipment in 24/7 mission-critical environments
Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for equipment activity, site management, and issue resolution based on priorities
Work cross-functionally with operations, engineering, network, security, and project teams and escort vendors/contractors ensuring badge compliance
Participate in technical training, certifications, shift handovers, team meetings, and post-mortem reviews and comply with departmental policies
Requirements
2+ years’ experience in an industry that includes operations & maintenance
Familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Method of Procedures (MOPs), and their application to work orders
Experience working in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment
Working knowledge of mechanical, controls, and fire and life safety systems
Proficient with computer systems including documents, spreadsheets, and email
5+ years’ experience in a critical operations environment, preferably in the data center industry (preferred)
Experience scheduling and planning maintenance for large-scale, complex systems in an operations environment (preferred)
Ability to perform physical tasks including moving heavy equipment (up to 50 pounds), crawling in tight spaces, working at heights, and extended walking
