About the role

  • Take ownership of the data warehouse and business intelligence.
  • Configure, administer, maintain and enhance the data warehouse in close cooperation with the IT department.
  • Further develop the company-wide data architecture, including implementing data governance principles.
  • Collect, analyze and refine requirements for data use cases.
  • Design, implement and monitor robust ETL jobs.
  • Continuously monitor data quality in the data warehouse using available tools.
  • Perform performance analyses and optimize cross-system processes in the DWH/Business Intelligence environment.
  • Maintain ongoing documentation of data models and data contents.

Requirements

  • Solid technical knowledge and strong analytical skills.
  • A degree or comparable qualification in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field.
  • Experience as a Data Engineer and with building, maintaining and evolving ETL processes is an advantage.
  • Confident use of common SQL, visualization, and ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, possibly Apache Airflow or SSAS).
  • Experience in database administration of systems such as PostgreSQL, MS SQL, IBM DB2 for i, Progress or similar.
  • Analytical, structured way of working combined with strong communication skills.
