About the role

  • Take ownership of the data warehouse and business intelligence.
  • Configure, administer, maintain and further develop the data warehouse in close cooperation with the IT department.
  • Further develop the enterprise-wide data architecture, including implementing data governance principles.
  • Analyze, gather and refine requirements for data use cases.
  • Design, implement and monitor robust ETL jobs.
  • Continuously monitor data quality in the data warehouse using available tools.
  • Perform performance analyses and optimize cross-system processes in the DWH/Business Intelligence environment.
  • Continuously document data models and data contents.

Requirements

  • Solid knowledge and strong analytical skills.
  • A solid education in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a comparable qualification.
  • Experience as a Data Engineer and in building, maintaining and evolving ETL processes is an advantage.
  • Confident use of common SQL, visualization, and ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, optionally Apache Airflow or SSAS).
  • Experience in database administration for systems such as PostgreSQL, MS SQL, IBM DB2 for i, Progress, or similar.
  • Analytical, structured working style combined with strong communication skills.
