About the role

  • Leads the team of Supplier Relationship Executives and/or Category Managers who manage Supplier contracts on behalf of Strada
  • Accountable for colleague engagement initiatives
  • Accountable for development, deployment and maintenance of ongoing Governance practices and strategies to be utilized across the Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Management team
  • Identifies opportunities for optimization and operationalizes processes that increase efficiency, reduce costs and creates capacity to support new Supplier contracts
  • Operates well in “gray space” and is able to build framework and processes to support new projects, new scope or orphaned work from the ground up
  • Collaborates with Third-Party Security, Data Privacy, Finance, Legal, HR and business leaders to define and/or streamline processes where dependencies exist with Global Spend Management Team
  • Monitors and measures results against team targets, including Supplier cost savings, Supplier consolidation and Supplier Management SLAs
  • Oversees the execution of projects and the deployment of new tools for the Global Spend Management team
  • Manages the annual budget for Global Spend Management
  • Sets strategic direction for the Global Spend Management Team, including but not limited to establishing annual performance goals, defining the scope of work and driving GSM processes with business leaders
  • Consults with business leaders on Supplier risk management strategies and presents suggestions with a balanced view of risk management techniques that will result in the least amount of disruption to the sales process, client services and operational delivery
  • Maximizes Supplier revenue-share/annual recurring revenue opportunities in partnership with business owners
  • Acts as the contractual partner between suppliers and the business while identifying potential opportunities for negotiations and for favorability within contracts, including deployment of revenue-share based models and/or referral agreements
  • Works with the Commercial team to define Supplier flow-downs to incorporate into client contracts, including but not limited to Supplier pass through costs/pricing, funding agreements, KYC, ADA capabilities and other non-negotiable terms and conditions
  • Partners with business leaders, Legal and Marketing to ensure proper documentation is in place for Supplier contracts that involve warrants, trademarking, white labeling or press releases
  • Works closely with business leaders and the shared services organizations, leading teams to the development of short- and long-term sourcing strategies that support the business
  • Drives the execution of procurement policies to meet the needs of internal stakeholders and delivery to clients, while eliminating or minimizing risks to Strada
  • Accountable for the supplier governance process, based on supplier tiering approach; drives overall value and strengthens the ROI

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in business, finance, supply chain management or applicable field
  • 12+ years of experience in one or more of the following operational outsourcing disciplines: Health, Wealth, Payroll and Cloud, Technology or or broad experience across multiple outsourcing disciplines
  • 7+ years Client Management/Account Management experience
  • 10+ years of experience managing people and developing high performing teams
  • Experience managing client and/or third-party supplier contracts, with a detailed understanding of Terms and Conditions of the Services Agreement, Statements of Work and Fee Schedules
  • Deep expertise in overseeing Governance routines and processes: change orders, Service Level Agreements, performance dashboards, escalation management, root cause analysis, risk mitigation, audit compliance (SOC I and SOC II), business continuity, data privacy and related Governance routines
  • Strong financial acumen, including but not limited to P&L Management, budgets and forecasting, invoice validation, cost savings, ROI/cost modeling and operational fee structures (ie: PEPM/PEPY, volume-based pricing, variable charges, RUs, minimum guarantees and ARC/RRC)
  • In-depth understanding of PII, GDPR and data privacy
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to manage by influence and build trusted partnerships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Strong cross-cultural skills and experience working with global delivery models
  • Solutions oriented, with a proven track record of using facts, data and cost modelling techniques to build business cases and influence decisions
  • Experience in negotiation techniques; proven ability to deliver favorable agreements which meet business requirements
  • Strong knowledge of the industry and market trends
  • Project management or program management experience
  • Working knowledge of contracting process and tools
  • Able to travel as required
