About the role

  • Directly contribute to the expansion of the Germany South and Switzerland region through the generation of new Enterprise clients
  • Build and implement with cross-functional teams a strategic go-to-market plan that contributes to the regional revenue strategy and maximizes territory growth potential
  • Execute effectively on inbound deals using our proven playbook and process and lead potential new customers through the sales journey and presentation of Storyblok’s solutions
  • Work with and support the BDR & Partner Management team in shaping proactive pipeline and prospecting activities
  • Proactively generate new business by sourcing strategic enterprise opportunities (with a target of 30% self-sourced pipeline), while contributing insights on evolving market dynamics
  • Negotiation of commercial offers for customers
  • Navigate through the legal and procurement process in complex B2B SaaS sales
  • Maintain a healthy relationship with existing clients and support Customer Success in upselling into existing accounts
  • Serve as a regional thought leader by evangelizing the Storyblok vision through product demonstrations, strategic partnerships, market events, and tailored account initiatives

Requirements

  • Proven record of success in closing large and complex SaaS Enterprise deals in Germany South & Switzerland ($50k ARR and above)
  • Ability to autonomously define and execute strategic account and territory plans that inform and influence broader regional sales strategy
  • Strong understanding of common sales methodologies like MEDDPIC, and/or Challenger, Gap Selling, SPIN Selling, Sandler.
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven SaaS solution selling experience as an Account Executive orchestrating a wider GTM team such as BDRs, PMs and CSMs to drive new revenue.
  • Examples of deep relationship-building skills with an ability to both grow and nurture clients and partners for expansive business relationships
  • Relative experience in working with solution partners within a co-selling motion
  • Brings domain expertise from the digital or e-commerce software industry or Martech agencies, with a proven ability to act as a trusted advisor to executive-level stakeholders
  • Ability to craft, refine and navigate different sales messaging and strategy for both technical (developers) and business (marketing) personas
  • Must be a native German speaker (C2) and proficient English speaker (B2 and above)
  • Ideally based in Munich or the South of Germany, where a majority of our key partners and customers are located
  • Travel primarily within the assigned region, to foster client relationships and participate in events that contribute to the growth and success of Storyblok
