About the role

  • Represent the university, based out of a home office in the Los Angeles/Santa Clara, California area
  • Develop and expand recruitment initiatives to increase enrollment from identified territories
  • Support university-wide goals
  • Engage with students, families, school counselors, IECs, and university partner offices to provide information on admissions and enrollment processes
  • Conduct follow up to increase application completion and yield rates from targeted schools and student groups
  • Support targeted recruitment program or efforts which may include electronic communications, recruitment technologies, and other priorities as determined by office leadership
  • Travel and represent the University at college fairs, high school visits, community college visits, and other outreach programs in assigned recruitment territory

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree (foreign equivalent or higher)
  • One year of full-time professional experience in a college or university setting (Student work experience may be considered)
  • Proficiency with technology, office software and communication systems
  • Must have, keep and maintain the appropriate valid Driver’s License; have a motor vehicle record which is free from major violations or a pattern of repeat violations
  • Experience in admissions counseling and recruitment (Preferred)
  • Experience in reviewing applications for admission and making recommendations for admission (Preferred)
  • Experience working with diverse populations and working independently (Preferred)
  • Experience and knowledge with higher education technology platforms, i.e., SLATE (Preferred)
  • Experience with program planning, implementation, assessing and innovating to enhance programs (Preferred)
Benefits
