About the role
- Management and coordination of all administrative processes of the chorus
- Personnel administration (sick notifications, vacation requests, preparation of work schedules, processing of fees/honoraria)
- Creation and oversight of rehearsal and performance schedules and coordination of these with the artistic and musical management
- Communication of role assignments, after consultation with choral direction/stage management, to all relevant departments (especially Costume)
- Responsibility for the artistic and technical conduct of performances and rehearsals
- Act as a liaison between chorus leadership and chorus members
- Ensure internal communication
- Organization of auditions
- Onboarding of new colleagues
- Sourcing short-notice substitutes and chorus singers for fixed-term contracts
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of opera repertoire
- Ideally, familiarity with the NV-Bühne SR Chor collective bargaining agreement (tariff agreement)
- Willingness to be present in the evenings and on weekends
- Enjoy working with all departments, particularly with the chorus singers
