About the role

  • You develop creative ideas for our social media channels and bring the world of the Deutsche Oper Berlin to life online in an accessible and contemporary way.
  • You create content — reels, stories, videos, photos, texts — and translate artistic processes on and behind the stage into compelling formats.
  • You monitor digital trends and actively contribute to the further development of our strategy.
  • You are communicative, build internal networks, discover stories behind the scenes and stage them.
  • You lead a lively dialogue with our community and initiate formats that encourage exchange.
  • You support partnerships and paid campaigns.
  • You monitor reach and engagement, present key metrics clearly and develop ideas for optimizations based on them.

Requirements

  • Passion for culture and enthusiasm for telling the story of opera, music theatre and contemporary formats in a creative and digital way
  • Professional experience in social media or digital marketing, preferably in the cultural or events sector
  • A good eye and innovative ideas for visual design, trends and storytelling — and solid experience with common tools
  • Expertise in designing digital formats and applying corporate design in accordance with style guides
  • Independent, reliable working style and eagerness to work as part of a team
  • Excellent German and English skills
