About the role
- Lead States United’s Communications Department
- Develop, manage and implement communications strategy
- Oversee projects, digital assets, and media outreach
- Provide strategic guidance and oversee communications materials
- Maintain relationships with key reporters and stakeholders
- Serve as spokesperson for States United
- Manage communications staff and consultants
Requirements
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in communications
- At least 3 years in a senior leadership role
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experienced project manager
- Experience working in state and/or federal government or at a non-profit organization
- Proven ability to apply sound judgment
- Demonstrated excellence in leadership and organization
