About the role

  • The Department of Finance and Management seeks motivated individuals interested in public accounting, financial planning and policy.
  • Hiring is for a Budget and Management Analyst, however, exceptional candidates could be considered for a Senior Budget and Management Analyst position.
  • Duties are performed largely in a standard office setting.
  • Private means of transportation should be available for required travel.
  • The role involves intensive interaction with departmental officials who may advocate strongly for their programs.
  • Rapid response in the face of tight deadlines may be necessary.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or higher in business administration, public administration or a closely related field AND one (1) year or more of program or fiscal management experience at or above a middle management level of responsibility.
  • OR Bachelor's degree AND three (3) years or more of program or fiscal management experience at or above a middle management level of responsibility.
  • Preferred Qualifications: MPA, MBA, CPA, or other advanced degree.
  • Experience in program planning and/or evaluation.
