💰 $60,000 - $70,000 per year

About the role

  • Provide clinical expertise within the child welfare system
  • Support the identification, engagement, and service resources of parents/caregivers with behavioral health needs
  • Collaborate with Child Protective Investigators (CPIs) and dependency case managers
  • Enhance recognition of behavioral health concerns and improve family engagement
  • Participate in joint visits with CPIs and offer guidance on best practices
  • Build relationships with investigative staff and provide education on behavioral health indicators
  • Partner with behavioral health providers and maintain knowledge of referral processes
  • Track and document all cases where support is provided to child welfare staff
  • Participate in legal proceedings and multidisciplinary meetings
  • Offer subject-matter expertise in the identification and care of substance-exposed newborns

Requirements

  • A master’s degree in a health or human services-related field
  • Three years of experience treating substance use disorders.
  • Valid Class E Driver License.
  • Florida license in psychology, social work, mental health counseling, marriage, and family therapy, or a registered intern (preferred).
  • Experience of the child welfare and behavioral health systems and knowledge related to the impact of behavioral health conditions on parenting capacity (preferred).
  • Experience in substance abuse prevention, treatment, or recovery support service (preferred).
  • Certification as a Master’s-Level Addiction Professional (preferred).
  • Experience with motivational interviewing (preferred).
