About the role
- Performing accounting functions associated with the auditing and scheduling of payments to vendors, providers, and other agencies.
- Auditing and preparing invoices and verifying established accounting codes to ensure accuracy prior to disbursement of funds.
- Responsible for reconciling, and researching expenditure transactions, data entry, and processing departmental correcting entries.
- Ensure proper documentation for purchasing card charges and reconcile charges through state approved systems.
- Monitoring pending invoices to ensure in line with Prompt Payment Compliance.
- Maintain vendor payment information and data for services using various databases and organizational codes.
- Serve as back-up to accounts payable team.
- Perform other accounting duties, as required or assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum Experience performing accounts payable functions in a business setting.
- Experience navigating, entering, and retrieving data from various computer systems, and databases in a professional work environment.
- Proficiency in working with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Two or more years’ professional experience independently processing medical or healthcare accounts payable, within the last five (5) years.
- Professional experience in financial accounting systems; to enter, track, and retrieve accounts payable data.
