About the role
- Provides high‑level administrative leadership for District Five Office Operations
- Ensures effective oversight of personnel, fiscal processes, and administrative support functions
- Serves as the primary liaison with the Human Resources office
- Coordinates required reporting and ensures consistent application of personnel policies
- Supervises, directs and advises District Office Operations (Maintenance, Construction, and Traffic Operations) administrative support personnel
- Provides leadership and guidance as needed to administrative staff to foster growth and development
- Promotes and emphasizes teamwork and customer service
- Provides oversight and assistance to field Operations Office Managers on personnel, fiscal and other administrative matters
- Performs field unit reviews with field unit office
- Identifies and resolves operational and management problems
- Acts as liaison with Human Resource office
- Develops and performs regular Quality Assurance Reviews of district office operations
- Advises all relative to administrative policies and procedures
- Performs special assignments including research and report preparation
Requirements
- Knowledge of management and human resource principles and practices
- Knowledge of budgeting procedures and process
- Knowledge of fiscal and procurement regulations
- Knowledge of electronic document management
- Skills in providing excellent customer service
- Skills in using a variety of computer programs including Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to lead and develop a diverse work group
- Ability to promote teamwork
- Ability to prepare and review fiscal data for accuracy and completeness
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
- Ability to plan, organize, coordinate and prioritize assignments
