About the role

  • Provides high‑level administrative leadership for District Five Office Operations
  • Ensures effective oversight of personnel, fiscal processes, and administrative support functions
  • Serves as the primary liaison with the Human Resources office
  • Coordinates required reporting and ensures consistent application of personnel policies
  • Supervises, directs and advises District Office Operations (Maintenance, Construction, and Traffic Operations) administrative support personnel
  • Provides leadership and guidance as needed to administrative staff to foster growth and development
  • Promotes and emphasizes teamwork and customer service
  • Provides oversight and assistance to field Operations Office Managers on personnel, fiscal and other administrative matters
  • Performs field unit reviews with field unit office
  • Identifies and resolves operational and management problems
  • Acts as liaison with Human Resource office
  • Develops and performs regular Quality Assurance Reviews of district office operations
  • Advises all relative to administrative policies and procedures
  • Performs special assignments including research and report preparation

Requirements

  • Knowledge of management and human resource principles and practices
  • Knowledge of budgeting procedures and process
  • Knowledge of fiscal and procurement regulations
  • Knowledge of electronic document management
  • Skills in providing excellent customer service
  • Skills in using a variety of computer programs including Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to lead and develop a diverse work group
  • Ability to promote teamwork
  • Ability to prepare and review fiscal data for accuracy and completeness
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
  • Ability to plan, organize, coordinate and prioritize assignments

  • Ability to adapt to a variety of working situations
