About the role

  • Assisting with direct member supervision and in the planning, organization, coordination, and management of work within the section
  • Consulting with unit supervisors and administrative staff to resolve programmatic, administrative, and operational issues and problems
  • Assessing/analyzing and makes recommendations to resolve issues and problems within the Section
  • Assisting with issues as they relate to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), various governmental or private entities, the general public, and other customers serviced by the Section
  • Developing and conducting management studies to assist the PPA in streamlining functions to promote efficient and effective accomplishments of criminal justice information objectives
  • Providing data analysis of productivity goals of the Unit and provides research, analysis, and assimilation of information relative to laws, rules, and regulations that directly or indirectly impact criminal justice data
  • Preparing periodic performance evaluations on employees and makes recommendations for promotions pertinent to the Section
  • Performing other related duties and functions

Requirements

  • At least one year of experience in either a management or leadership capacity.
  • Knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis
  • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, statutes, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to deal with the public in a tactful and courteous manner
  • Ability to work independently by planning, organizing, and coordinating work assignments
  • Ability to utilize problem solving techniques
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with others
  • Ability to motivate others and build and promote cooperation and teamwork
  • Ability to resolve conflict in an efficient and timely manner
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks with conflicting deadlines
