About the role
- Provide basic nursing services as allowed by LPN scope of practice to students under supervision
- Administers first aid, daily medications, and emergency medications to students
- Organize and assist with state mandated health screenings
- Maintains clean health unit/work area and does periodic inventory of medical supplies
- Maintains accurate and timely records/documentation of all work performed
- Establishes and maintains good working relationships with all staff members
- Assists health screening team with implementing/scheduling health screenings
- Attend School Health in-services as scheduled, complete mandated training
Requirements
- Florida LPN license or LPN license from another compact state
- Must be able to acquire CPR and First Aid prior to on-boarding.
- Experience working in a medical setting.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s license. If out of state, a Florida Driver's license is required within 30 days of hire
- Must have transportation in order to travel to Brevard Public Schools in Brevard County, FL.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
