About the role

  • Assigns to District Sales Office and reports directly to the District Manager
  • Primary responsibility to assist the District Manager in achieving the District’s sales goals
  • Supervision of assigned Sales Representatives
  • Interacting with retailer accounts within the district to build partnerships
  • Expected to work in the field as directed by their immediate supervisors
  • May require travel
  • Ensure retailers and players are aware of the Responsible Gaming program
  • Supervises and evaluates the work of assigned sales staff
  • Prepares reports on instant ticket sales, retailer recruitment and retention
  • Reviews and approves daily activity reports and timesheets
  • Monitors information entered into the mobile sales tool by sales representatives
  • Instructs and updates Sales Representatives on new procedures and sales programs
  • Orients new Sales Representatives to assigned territories
  • Operates a motor vehicle as required to fulfill duties
  • Identifies and recommends promotional and marketing opportunities within the District
  • Coordinates and communicates with Retailer Contracting, Games Administration, and all District Offices.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • Successful passing of a criminal background check (state, local, and national) is required
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with large variety of personalities
  • Ability to work a work schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments
  • Ability to research, compile, and analyze sales and marketing data
  • Ability to draw logical conclusions and make well-founded recommendations based upon sales and marketing data
  • Ability to create reports and correspondence
  • Ability to set-up and breakdown promotional props, display items, and equipment, weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to travel as required by the position, which may require operating a motor vehicle and overnight travel
  • Skill in preparing and delivering sales and marketing presentations
  • Knowledge of Lottery scratch-off and on-line gaming products
  • Knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of product marketing and retail sales, and successful inventory management
  • Knowledge of Lottery sales and marketing policies and procedures.
