About the role
- Provides nutrition education and support in the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC).
- Develops nutrition care plans.
- Provides breastfeeding promotion, education, and support to WIC clients.
- Responsible for documenting all client contacts in the WIC FL-WISE Data System.
- Determines client program eligibility.
- Assists in the in-service education for WIC staff.
- Performs anthropometric measurements and hematological testing for WIC clients following DHM 150 -24 rules and regulations.
- Completes leave, attendance, EARS, travel and any other reports as required and according to established procedures.
Requirements
- Must have current authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
- Must have Florida Licensure as a Dietitian/Nutritionist.
- Willing to work before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency.
- Must have required registration in accordance with Chapter 468, Florida Statutes, or eligible to practice dietetics in accordance with Chapter 64B8-40 to 45, Florida Administrative Code.
- Must be able to work early morning, late evening, and Saturdays.
