About the role

  • Provides logistical support to the WIC program
  • Serves as the purchasing agent and provides accounting, auditing, invoicing, payment and budgetary support functions for the WIC project and other agreements
  • Assists in the preparation of the program's annual operating budgets and agreements that impact the budgets
  • Monitors budget performance of various contracts and agreements in established financial systems
  • Maintains and balances payroll records for WIC staff
  • Reconciles and maintains fiscal records for agency staff
  • Prepares the WIC and Breastfeeding Peer Counselor (BPC) monthly reports of program operations
  • Processes purchases orders, manages lease agreements and any other related purchases and expenses for the program
  • Completes mandatory meetings and trainings as designated by State, Federal, WIC, and local authority by deadline assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum - a year of experience managing a budget and a year of experience managing an inventory
  • Preferred - Experience with State of Florida purchasing through MFMP/AOD
