About the role
- This position is responsible for the rabies program within the Environmental Health Program.
- Assists with sanitary nuisance investigations and management of the swimming program.
- The rabies program consists of receiving/sending emails regarding animal bites and exposures (bats), maintaining records, contacting victims, and preparing specimen (heads) for testing.
- Sanitary Nuisance investigation consists of responding to citizen complaints on environmental issues affecting community health and safety.
- Swimming pools inspections.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements
- Willing to work before, during, and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency.
- This position requires current authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
- This position requires daily in-office or field work.
- Willing to physically come in the office daily and perform field work.
- Able to work outdoors and lift 50 pounds.
