About the role
- Responsible for administering medical nutrition care to individuals served at a state Psychiatric institution.
- Communicates and consults with physicians and nurses regarding nutritional status.
- Monitors nutritional status and records progress utilizing SOAP format.
- Provides nutritional assessments for new admits and annually for all individuals.
- Participates in treatment team meetings as scheduled.
- Conducts in-service training programs in nutrition to dietary personnel.
Requirements
- Registered dietitian as defined by the American Dietetic Association; or
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in dietetics or food and nutrition.
