About the role

  • Ensure assigned projects evaluate the effectiveness of department policies, procedures, and programs, and identify areas for management improvement.
  • Prioritize multiple projects for timely completion.
  • Identify and coordinate projects by consulting with senior management and analyzing data.
  • Work with key staff to resolve any managerial or operational issues.
  • Perform statistical analysis for assigned projects, document findings, and present results to senior management.
  • Refine research methodologies based on feedback.
  • Create and document scientific methodologies for assigned projects, explaining how to conduct thorough analysis of specific issues.
  • Produce comprehensive reports with conclusions, using data analytics, Excel, SAS, etc.
  • Compile data from research files and other sources to produce detailed statistical reports for departmental personnel, government agencies, legislative committees, and the public.
  • Consult on technical issues and ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • Stay updated on corrections and criminal justice topics.

Requirements

  • Please note, when submitting a college/university degree, if selected for this position official transcripts will be required.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Basic understanding of collection, analysis, interpretation and presentation of data.
  • Previous work with statistical programs such as R, SAS, SPSS, etc. (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Power Bi or other business analytics program (preferred).
  • Support of knowledge, skills, and abilities should be demonstrated on the application, in the education, in the work experience, in the work sample, in the interview and/or during reference checks.
