About the role

  • Serves as MFMP Administrator to evaluate and process purchase requests for commodities and contractual services for the agency using appropriate purchasing methods in accordance with laws, rules, policies, and procedures contained in the state of Florida’s Purchasing Policy.
  • Reviews purchases to identify problem areas impeding timely completion of requisition/purchase order process.
  • Implements and conducts training programs and workshops for Agency purchasing staff to ensure staff can perform multiple purchasing functions.
  • Compiles reports regarding agency spending of goods and services for both management, legislative and public record requests on an as needed basis.
  • Serves as administrative lead on Alternate Contract Source and Equote requests by developing and administering the posting of the solicitations and reviewing responses for acceptability.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma, or its equivalent.
  • Two (2) or more years of public procurement experience in Florida.
  • At least two (2) or more years of experience with MyFloridaMarketPlace, the State of Florida’s eProcurement system.
  • At least two (2) or more years of experience processing and approving purchase requisitions in MyFloridaMarketPlace.
  • Experience utilizing State of Florida state term contracts and alternate contract sources.
  • Knowledge of State of Florida purchasing statutes and rules.
  • Ability to think critically and work independently and in a group.
  • Ability to collect, evaluate, and analyze data.
  • Must communicate effectively (orally and written).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
