About the role
- Support the Florida Department of Health in Pasco County in its mission to protect, promote and improve health
- Incorporate agency values of Innovation, Collaboration, Accountability, Responsiveness and Excellence
- Provide quality nutrition care to WIC participants in compliance with Federal Regulations
- Maintain courteous and cooperative relationships with staff and the public
- Adhere to all departmental policy/procedure, state and federal laws regarding participant information
- Obtain accurate data on height and weight measurements on participants
- Perform hematocrit/hemoglobin testing and record results electronically
- Maintain and inventory all medical supplies
- Schedule appointments and make appropriate health and social services referrals
- Accurately determine WIC program eligibility and advise participants of their rights
- Load benefits into WIC EBT account for household
- Participate in outreach efforts
Requirements
- Minimum – High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Must have valid Florida Driver’s License
