About the role
- Join Team Duval at DOH-Duval to protect, promote, and improve community health.
- Spend the majority of the time engaged in supervisory responsibilities including motivating and evaluating employees.
- Oversee the multidisciplinary Division of Community Health Programs at the Florida Department of Health in Duval County.
- Manage key programs and ensure the integration of data findings into programmatic strategies.
- Ensure adherence to laws and regulations while fostering a culture of achievement.
Requirements
- Have a minimum of 3-years of experience supervising employees including responsibility in approving/monitoring timesheets, leave, productivity, and disciplinary actions.
- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience managing budgets and expenses.
- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience with contracts, grant writing, and post award grant management.
- Have a minimum of three years of experience directing public health programs with a focus on maternal and child health, overdose prevention, or other community health programs.
- Be willing to work before, during, and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency.
