About the role
- Provides service statewide for the Deferred Compensation Program.
- Assists state employees in achieving financial security in retirement.
- Receives incoming telephone calls and electronic messages to support customer service.
- Gathers information from callers and answers questions about the Plan, federal/state laws/regulations, and policies.
- Evaluates participant requests ensuring eligibility and completeness.
- Communicates detailed information concerning available investment options.
- Maintains database of participant forms and records.
- Counsels participants on Plan transactions and related IRS rules as requested.
Requirements
- Two (2) years of customer service experience.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- One (1) year of FLAIR experience preferred.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Detail oriented.
- Experience answering multi-line phone.
- Experience with Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Marketing or Economics from an accredited college or university.
