About the role

  • Provides service statewide for the Deferred Compensation Program.
  • Assists state employees in achieving financial security in retirement.
  • Receives incoming telephone calls and electronic messages to support customer service.
  • Gathers information from callers and answers questions about the Plan, federal/state laws/regulations, and policies.
  • Evaluates participant requests ensuring eligibility and completeness.
  • Communicates detailed information concerning available investment options.
  • Maintains database of participant forms and records.
  • Counsels participants on Plan transactions and related IRS rules as requested.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of customer service experience.
  • Punctuality and reliability.
  • One (1) year of FLAIR experience preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Experience answering multi-line phone.
  • Experience with Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Marketing or Economics from an accredited college or university.
