About the role

  • Manage eligibility, registration, vital statistics, and medical records for the Department of Health
  • Directly supervise cashiering, billing, and dental clerks
  • Responsible for training, motivating, and evaluating subordinates
  • Conduct performance appraisals and approve leave requests
  • Update and maintain scheduling/templates in the Health Management System (HMS)
  • Serve as lead on HMS functions including billing codes and lab codes
  • Oversee billing functions including write offs, collection reports, and refunds
  • Assure compliance with rules and regulations regarding security/confidentiality policy
  • Implement quality improvement processes and strategic planning

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years supervisory experience, with a minimum of 1 year in clinical office
  • 2 years training experience
  • 3 years billing / cashier experience in medical setting
  • 1 year quality improvement / implementation experience
  • 5 years experience client financial experience / registrations / SFS (preferred)
  • 1 year managing and administration of budget (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of HIPPA guidelines (preferred)
  • 1 year experience general auditing of records (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of HMS and scheduling templates (preferred)
