About the role

  • Time sheet and EARs entry within the required time frame
  • Subject to emergency duty in the event of a natural disaster
  • Completion of all mandatory or assigned training within the required time frame
  • Expected to promote Florida Department of Health in Citrus County in its mission to protect, promote and improve the health of all people in Florida through integrated state, county, and community efforts
  • Conducts quality assurance programs
  • Assists in the recruitment and coordination of local community partnerships
  • Represents Florida Department of Health Citrus at community events and meetings
  • Have a working knowledge of computers and word processing skills
  • This position requires travel and some weekend and evening hours
  • Prepares documents for vendors and ensures compliance with state guidelines
  • Educates community about nutrition, diabetes, heart health, tobacco cessation, chronic diseases, and daily activities
  • Collects and analyzes data to ensure program outcomes
  • Prepares and disseminates news releases and other information to communities
  • Attends scheduled trainings as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Valid FL driver’s license
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
  • Ability to maintain records, communicate, maintain effective working relations and good rapport
  • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Adheres to Confidentiality and Security policies and procedures
