About the role
- Assist in the establishment and maintenance of Memorandum of Agreements with universities to provide intern opportunities for students
- Assist in documenting workforce development activities, maintain accurate records, and provide timely statistical and activity reports on student and volunteer participation
- Assist in developing and managing student/volunteer workforce development policies, procedures, and standards
- Develop and maintain relationships with other volunteer initiatives within Volusia County and Florida
- Assist with facilitation of the evaluation of DOH Volusia student volunteer workforce development programs to ensure effectiveness
- Assist in managing the internal outreach calendar
- Attend outreach events including those on nights and weekends as needed
- Provide support to Community Health programs as directed by the supervisor to include but not limited to the Injury Prevention program
- Assist with the facilitation of the purchasing process for Community Health programs
- Attend and participate in staff development and regularly scheduled department staff meetings
Requirements
- Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License
- Must be willing to work some nights and weekends to attend outreaches and events
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office
- Must be willing to physically come in the office daily and perform field work
- Experience working in an outreach setting, providing educational presentations to the public
- Contract management experience
