💰 $75,639 - $97,886 per year

About the role

  • Supervises employees spending majority of their time communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating employees, and planning and directing employees' work.
  • Manages the planning, reviewing, issuing and inspecting of all permits required for work within the State Right-of-Way.
  • Provides management technical and engineering guidance/support to technicians and other engineering specialists to ensure that the Department's goals are met.
  • Maintains contact with public officials and private companies to promote good public relations.
  • Performs quality assurance checks on all approved permits including site visits and written acceptance of the project upon completion.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of current maintenance operations, activities, rules and policies.
  • Knowledge of engineering design, construction and maintenance concepts.
  • Knowledge of Department rules, policies, and procedures, including those in the personnel area.
  • Skills in administering and managing multiple projects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to read, interpret and analyze engineering and technical data and plans/specification packages.
  • Must obtain certification in Temporary Traffic Control (Maintenance of Traffic) - Advanced Level within one year.
