About the role

  • Provides high-level administrative support by conducting research, preparing reports, and handling information requests
  • Assists with program management and acts as the Human Resource (HR) Liaison
  • Prepares personnel recommendation packets and assists with hiring and recruitment activities
  • Handles travel authorizations, reimbursements, and prepares travel itineraries
  • Responsible for fleet management, including maintenance and fueling of state vehicles
  • Prepares and maintains records and reports, including financial reports and applications
  • Processes personnel forms in accordance with State and FDOE rules and policies

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or its equivalent
  • One to three years of secretarial or clerical work experience
  • Preference will be given to candidates with an associate's degree from an accredited college or university
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited college or university (preferred)
  • Vocational/technical training in the area of secretarial science or office/business studies (preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of human resources to include recruitment, retention, selection, preparing forms, and/or routing paperwork and forms (preferred)
