About the role
- Performs a variety of clerical and health support functions in the Special Supplemental Nutrition for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program
- Takes weight and height measurements of WIC clients
- Performs hematological tests necessary for WIC certification
- Accurately enters hematological data into FL-WiSE
- Maintains documentation of calibration of hematological equipment
- Maintains a log of hematological testing on WIC participants
- Maintains equipment as necessary and keeps inventory of hematological equipment
- Orders hematological supplies on a monthly basis, as needed
- Performs weight and height measurements for WIC clients, using the correct anthropometric techniques
- Accurately enters anthropometric data into FL-WiSE
Requirements
- Willing to work before, during, and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency
- Proof of successful completion of the WIC FL-WISE competency test or ability to pass this test within 60 days following date of hire
- Verifiable work experience or training performing hematological testing
- Verifiable work experience or training performing anthropometric measurements
- Verifiable experience speaking, writing and reading the Spanish language
