About the role

  • Cleans and sanitizes cabins after visitor use
  • Washes, folds and prepares laundry
  • Explains facilities and services provided for public use, enjoyment and education
  • Attempts to resolve visitor complaints while maintaining good public relations
  • Occasional repair of screens, replacement of lightbulbs, and basic household maintenance
  • Maintains cleanliness of grounds and facilities associated with cabins
  • Operates radio equipment, personal computers and maintains written logs
  • Ensures Park rules are enforced pertaining to all natural, historical and archaeological facilities and resources

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Successful completion of background/fingerprint check
  • Knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing techniques
  • Skill in operating trucks and golf carts
  • Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, holidays and weekends
  • Ability to perform physical labor including carrying bins weighing up to 40 pounds up 2 flights of stairs
  • Ability to work outdoors with exposure to elements and wildlife
