About the role
- Provide direct nursing care to residents of the Veterans’ Domiciliary Home of Florida under the supervision of a licensed nurse
- Assist with all aspects of resident care as assigned by the shift supervisor
- Respond promptly and courteously when answering call lights
- Observe, identify and report resident concerns or needs to the shift supervisor
- Complete assignments timely, completely, accurately and in a cooperative manner
- Follow established performance standards
- Document services provided within facility software/databases
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information
Requirements
- Must have current Florida Certified Nursing Assistant License
- Must have current CPR certification
- Willing and able to work day shift, evening shift and night shift as needed
- Must be willing and able to work every other weekend and holidays as needed
- Must be willing and able to drive a 15-seat passenger van (training will be provided at facility)
- Must have a valid Florida driver's license
- Successful completion of the due diligence process to include, but not limited to, a Level II background check and drug test
- Experience in medical or long-term care facility
