About the role

  • Responsible for preparing and analyzing environmental samples for priority organic pollutants, pesticides, herbicides, and other related compounds of interest to agency programs
  • Satisfies ongoing demands for analyses necessary to support water quality impairment decisions
  • Providing support for other customers, both within and outside the Department of Environmental Protection

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of verifiable related experience in chemistry, environmental science, natural sciences, biological sciences, or physical sciences
  • Post-secondary degrees from an accredited college or university with a major in chemistry, environmental science, natural sciences, biological sciences, or physical sciences may be used as an alternative for the required years of experience on a year-for-year basis
  • A credential evaluation report from an approved agency must be submitted along with all foreign degrees
