About the role
- The incumbent assigned to this position is the single point of contact and responsible for all operational aspects of the individual Community during their respective shifts.
- Manages and supervises direct care staff in the care and custody of vulnerable persons who are intellectually challenged.
- Ensures staffing is adequate for the shift assignment based on resident population.
- Motivates and evaluates subordinate staff through establishing criteria and performing the necessary training to ensure their success.
- Coordinates and works in partnership with colleagues, medical, security, behavioral services, and resident and support services managers to ensure that all residents receive quality and timely services which will enable them to live in a safe and secure environment while participating in programs and activities designed to assist them in achieving competency.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license.
- MANDT at the Advanced level is required unless the incumbent requests reasonable accommodation supported by an annual medical certification.
- Incumbent is required to submit to pre-employment TB screening and on an annual on-going basis as prescribed by DDDP.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and/or resident information.
- This position requires lifting, pulling and squatting.
