💰 $30 - $35 per hour

About the role

  • Serve as an OPS Dental Hygienist on Volusia County's Dental Outreach Program
  • Provide professional support and technical assistance to staff, community agencies, and the general public
  • Assigned to the WIC (Women Infant and Children) program providing assessments, fluoride varnish, toothbrush prophylaxis, and anticipatory guidance for infants and children up to age 4 years
  • Provide education to community agencies and the public through community events and health fairs
  • Possible involvement with the school Based Sealant Program and Dept. of Health dental clinics in Daytona Beach and Orange City
  • Travel between multiple work sites may be required

Requirements

  • Must have experience working with children
  • Must have a valid Driver's License
  • Must have experience providing dental assessments
  • Ability to lift 30lbs or more
  • Ability to complete and maintain patients medical records
  • Ability to provide instruction/education to patients in preventative oral/dental health techniques
  • Experience placing and evaluating dental sealants (preferred)
  • Computer knowledge (Eaglesoft, HMS) (preferred)
  • Bi-lingual Spanish/English (preferred)
