About the role

  • The District Manager – Concrete Production is responsible for supervising and directing employees to meet quality and productivity standards aligned with the department objectives.
  • The role involves evaluating and improving project processes.
  • Ensure consistency and predictability, keeping stakeholders informed of changes.
  • Provide technical material support, perform inspections and analysis of concrete conditions.
  • Recommend solutions when needed.
  • Determine appropriate material applications, define performance and testing requirements, and sign off on related documentation.
  • Ensure data compliance, address errors promptly, and support consultant contracts by managing scope, reviewing work and invoices in accordance with regulations.

Requirements

  • Must possess or obtain and maintain the following qualificational areas: Concrete Field Inspector Level II, Concrete Laboratory Technician Level I, and Concrete Batch Plant Operator.
  • Must pass or have passed Construction Math and Contract Plans Reading Self Study examinations.
  • Knowledge of: Concepts, terminology, principles and analytical techniques of concrete.
  • Knowledge of engineering design, construction, production and/or operations.
  • Skills in using engineering tools, equipment and/or instruments.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret engineering data.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer for word processing, spreadsheet, database applications.
  • Ability to solve problems relating to engineering.
  • Ability to perform technical engineering inspections.
  • Ability to apply engineering quantitative techniques.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
  • Ability to communicate engineering information effectively.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to pick up to 50 lbs and move around uneven terrain without assistance.
  • Ability to supervise.
