About the role
- Spends majority of their time communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating employees
- Planning and directing employees’ work, with authority to hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, or discipline subordinate employees
- Assists the Bureau Chief in the overall management and administration of bureau operations
- Provides daily consultation and recommendations to the Bureau Chief and park managers
- Handles routine and critical matters in the absence of the Bureau Chief
- Responsible for overall management of the bureau office involving administrative and personnel matters
- Monitors and directs education and training program(s) and volunteer coordination
- Identifies needs and monitors progress of grants program, budget tracking, and reconciliation
- Plans and directs construction and maintenance programs
- Conducts on-site reviews of district parks to assess efficiency and effectiveness
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License
- Position of Special Trust Requirement: Successful completion of background screening will be required for this position.
