💰 $30 - $35 per hour

About the role

  • Provide assessments, screenings, dental charting, dental sealants
  • Fluoride application, oral health education, and caries risk assessments
  • Complete patient eligibility and enter patient information in the Department’s Health Management System (HMS)
  • Document dental charting and patient notes
  • Retrieve and review consents; contact parents/guardians
  • Schedule times at each school to provide services
  • Load and transport equipment, instruments, and supplies
  • Maintain appropriate sterilization and disinfection per guidelines

Requirements

  • Knowledge of general office procedures and practices
  • Correct grammar usage and basic arithmetic
  • Ability to prepare reports and correspondence
  • Follow instructions and review data for accuracy and completeness
  • Communicate effectively and establish/maintain effective working relationships with others
  • Must possess a Florida Board of Dentistry Registered Dental Hygienist License
  • Valid Florida driver’s license
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher
  • Ability to plan, develop and deliver health promotion and public health education services
