About the role
- Conduct cost plan/significant additional needs reviews to ensure compliance with state and federal rules and procedures.
- Participate in hearings related to recommendations for significant additional needs.
- Use current rules, laws, and procedures to provide technical assistance to Waiver Support Coordinators and Regional staff on matters related to cost plan/significant additional needs reviews and decisions.
- Use current rules, laws and procedures to provide clear and accurate clinical recommendations or responses or inquiries and concerns from consumers, agency staff, and other stakeholders on or before assigned deadlines.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least one year of experience working directly with individuals with intellectual disability or other developmental disabilities.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a human services profession as indicated in Section 483.430(b)(5), Code of Federal Regulations.
- Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Must be proficient with time management, planning, organizing, and coordinating work assignments.
- Must be able to apply program rules, policies, and procedures.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Systems (Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel).
