About the role
- Serves as Assistant Human Resources Manager for the Division of Plant Industry.
- Hires and trains staff, assigns and reviews work, and provides feedback to staff.
- Initiates counseling, disciplinary, pay change, or classification actions, as necessary.
- Reviews, analyzes, develops, and recommends improvements to internal practices and policies to increase efficiency, productivity, quality, and customer service.
- Responsible and accountable for managing budget/dollars/resources (staff, vehicles, computers, cell phones, etc.) of any assigned programs in an efficient and accountable manner.
- Provides training to Division.
- Ensures Division Personnel intranet site is up-to-date and customer oriented.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of professional experience in systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, program evaluation, engineering or administrative work.
- A master's degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for one year of the required experience.
- Professional or nonprofessional experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.
- Requires possession of a valid Class E driver license.
