About the role
- Provide independent professional vocational rehabilitation counseling to individuals with disabilities
- Provide and coordinate complex vocational rehabilitation services
- Assess medical, psychological, and vocational information for eligibility
- Develop Individual Plan for Employment with clients
- Authorize and coordinate services leading to successful employment
- Manage resources to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a field related to vocational rehabilitation
- Minimum of 2 years of paid or unpaid experience in direct work with individuals with disabilities
- Master’s degree preferred but not required
- Knowledge of vocational rehabilitation theories and practices
- Knowledge of medical and psychological aspects of disability groups
- Ability to administer tests and analyze results
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to develop individual vocational rehabilitation programs.
