About the role
- Perform a variety of routine chemical or physical tests and analyses of foods in a timely manner.
- Verify analytical results generated and provide peer review of results.
- Maintain expertise in analytical procedures and quality assurance.
- Ensure compliance with state and department policies and procedures for analysis of foods.
- Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring laboratory areas are clean and orderly.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major course of study in chemistry or biochemistry.
- Must complete Candidate Profile with work history, duties, responsibilities, and formal education.
- Graduates with foreign trained degrees must provide a credential evaluation from an Approved Credential Evaluation Agency.
- Must pass a standard work sample administered with minimum required passing score.
