About the role

  • Perform a variety of routine chemical or physical tests and analyses of foods in a timely manner.
  • Verify analytical results generated and provide peer review of results.
  • Maintain expertise in analytical procedures and quality assurance.
  • Ensure compliance with state and department policies and procedures for analysis of foods.
  • Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring laboratory areas are clean and orderly.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major course of study in chemistry or biochemistry.
  • Must complete Candidate Profile with work history, duties, responsibilities, and formal education.
  • Graduates with foreign trained degrees must provide a credential evaluation from an Approved Credential Evaluation Agency.
  • Must pass a standard work sample administered with minimum required passing score.
