About the role
- Responsible for exotic plant species identification, treatment, and monitoring
- Safely handle and use herbicides to control exotic plant species
- Operate 4x4 vehicles, UTVs, and small utility trailers within the forest
- Use GPS units, data logs, and paper maps to locate and navigate through the forest
- Assist with maintenance and cleaning of vehicles and equipment
- Participate in other forestry operations such as timber marking and wildlife surveys
Requirements
- A high school diploma or its equivalent
- Requires possession of a valid class E driver license
- Occasional to moderate travel required
- Ability to safely handle and use herbicides
- Must be able to operate 4x4 vehicles, UTVs and small utility trailers
- Proficient in using GPS units, data logs, and paper maps
- Ability to work in a forested environment with little or no assistance
