About the role
- Conduct disease surveillance and reporting
- Conduct case investigations and outbreak investigations
- Implement control measures to interrupt disease transmission or mitigate adverse health impacts
- Conduct planned studies of important public health problems
- Interview patients by telephone or conduct field visits for interviews
- Educate clients, family members and contacts regarding reportable diseases, disease process and transmission and control measures
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of general office procedures and practices
- Ability to prepare reports and correspondence
- Ability to follow instructions and review data for accuracy and completeness
- Communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
