About the role
- Responsible for receiving, reviewing and assigning all abuse reports received from the Florida Abuse Hotline.
- Follow up with the appropriate supervisory personnel to ensure they are aware of the pending investigation and staff assignment.
- Print and review all abuse reports received from the Hotline and OTI requests called in from other counties.
- Coordinate with the Florida Abuse Hotline Information system (FAHIS), Child Information System (CIS) and Florida Safe Families Network (FSFN).
- Review appropriate databases for previous or open investigations and child family involvement with other family safety programs.
- Provide clerical support for a multi-function Family Safety Unit.
- Prepare intake case records for Child Protective Investigator.

- Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective communication.
