About the role
- Provide preventative dental services; prepare and teach dental presentations in schools; provides oral assessments; oral hygiene instructions, sealants, and fluoride treatments;
- provide summary of services for FLOSS survey; case management of children with urgent needs and increase referral to dental homes for children in need of services;
- assists with preparing orders and inventory control for Dental Bus Program; maintain records, enter clinical and billing services into Eaglesoft and HMS;
- travel to school and other locations on a regular basis; ability to work in fixed dental clinic, as needed.
Requirements
- Must be willing to work before, during, and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency.
- Must have a Registered Dental Hygienist license in accordance with F.S. 466.
- Must have a Dental Radiography certificate.
- Must have experience applying preventative sealants.
- Must have experience working with children.
- Preferred Experience working in a school-based sealant program.
- Preferred Experience working with the FLOSS program.
