About the role
- Serve as the Bureau of Monitoring and Quality Improvement Central Region Monitoring Supervisor
- Oversee regional monitors in the north region
- Supervise employees, communicate with, motivate, train, and evaluate employees
- Plan and direct employee’s work
- Develop the regional annual compliance and supplemental monitoring schedule
- Conduct compliance reviews and ensure accurate and timely completion of reports
- Provide training and consultation to Department staff in monitoring services
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or four years of professional experience and 2 or more years of supervisory experience
- Knowledge of the Department of Juvenile Justice policies and procedures
- Knowledge of basic management principles, leadership techniques, and ability to supervise employees
- Knowledge of and ability to apply rules, regulations, policies, and procedures relating to operational activities
- Skills include systems analysis, data collection and interpretation, focusing and deciphering complicated subject matter
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to work independently and to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments
- Ability to assess training needs
- Understanding of computer technology and systems applications of Word, Excel, PDF/Adobe, and other functional software programs such as Tableau and Access
