Manage a book of assigned large accounts across various industries and provide ongoing loss control services
Complete loss control surveys and report on risks, exposures, and controls
Develop service plans and provide ongoing consultation, assessments, and training to policyholders and agents
Analyze operations and exposures using established loss control practices, processes, and procedures
Assess risk attitude and identify risk improvement opportunities through recommendations and safety program improvements
Apply advanced to expert-level knowledge of recognized codes and standards (e.g., OSHA, NFPA, DOT) and articulate findings during surveys
Develop and present presentation materials to external and internal customers
Mentor colleagues and provide leadership, including taking lead roles in projects and department resource development
Work with agents to foster relationships and market loss control capabilities to secure new business
Perform special projects and other duties as assigned while adhering to customer experience standards
Requirements
Valid and unrestricted driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Demonstrated advanced organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to accomplish multiple priorities
Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
Demonstrated ability to multitask and problem solve
Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
Analytical with the ability to exercise sound risk evaluation judgment
Demonstrated understanding of industry practices, standards, and underwriting concepts for multiple lines of business and risks
Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with demonstrated ability to persuasively influence changes related to safety recommendations
High degree of knowledge in overall industries and recognized expertise in specific areas
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant business or technical experience in insurance or occupational health and safety
Currently pursuing and/or possessing one or more of the following certifications: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Occupational Health & Safety Technician (OHST), or Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST)
Proficient use of various core systems, office and computer equipment, and software packages
Advanced level of technical knowledge in the areas of Fleet Risk Management and Employee Safety
