About the role

  • Strong experience with API architecture and design: REST, OpenAPI Spec, versioning and contract design; integration patterns such as webhooks and event-driven architectures; and tools for governance, documentation and contract validation (e.g., Swagger/Redocly/Postman/Spectral).
  • Hands-on experience with API Gateways in an enterprise context (e.g., KrakenD, Kong), evaluating trade-offs in performance, security and cost.
  • Knowledge of IAM and integration security: OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, mTLS, access policies and zero-trust principles.
  • Experience with messaging/event streaming (Kafka) in event-driven architectures and to support integrations (including webhooks).
  • Understanding of scalability and resilience patterns: stateless services, caching, rate limiting, circuit breakers.
  • Advanced troubleshooting ability in distributed environments, making decisions under pressure and responding to critical incidents.
  • Experience with end-to-end observability for distributed services and APIs (OpenTelemetry and metrics/traces/logs stack such as Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger).
  • Technologies in our stack include: Java, Kotlin, Node.js, Go, JUnit, Mockito, Git, Hibernate and others.
  • Digital mindset, curiosity about new technologies and interest in understanding how Artificial Intelligence can transform processes, experiences and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Experience with CI/CD and automation (GitLab CI or similar): pipelines with automated validations (lint, schema validation), deployment strategies and continuous quality.
  • Experience with APIOps/GitOps and self-service models for product teams (API lifecycle governance via repository and automations).
  • Practical experience using AI-based tools (LLMs, copilots, intelligent automations) to increase productivity, generate and review code, produce documentation and assist troubleshooting.
  • Ability to apply AI to API governance and evolution (e.g., automatic contract analysis, breaking-change detection, pattern suggestion).
